RHYTHM L. McCARTHY has been an educator and guest artist for more than thirty years. Her teaching, choreographic credits, and residences include Florida State University, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Jacksonville University, Missouri State University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, University of Illinois, Austin Peay State University, and Imperial College in London, England. Her international credits also include work with the World Congress on Dance Research and the International Dance in Education Congress in Bogata, Columbia. Career credits include work with North Carolina Dance Theatre, Agnes de Mille, Valarie Bettis, the California Ballet Company, Pauline Koner, Ernestine Stodelle, Alwin Nikolais, and professional credits as an actor, director and choreographer.
JAY E. RAPHAEL has been an educator for over fifty years. Currently, the Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Jay has taught in the public and private sectors for corporations, theatre companies and colleges and universities including Brooklyn College, Southern Illinois University, the University of Virginia, and Missouri State University. He also brings to this endeavor credits as a professional actor and director Off-Broadway and in regional theatres including the Goodman Theatre, the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, the New Harmony Theatre, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and the Human Race Theatre Company.
